RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

The Nightingale-Bamford School is seeking a full-time art teacher for the 2024-2025 academic year. This instructor will teach primarily in grades 1 through 4 and should have experience teaching elementary art. Woodworking experience is preferred although expertise in other 3-dimensional art forms will also be considered.

The candidate must possess experience working with a variety of visual arts materials and processes. This is a full time, exempt position and reports to the Chair of the Art Department and the Division Head.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MFA preferred
  • Three to five years classroom experience teaching art in grades K-5
  • A passion for fostering creative expression and championing the artistic endeavors of all students
  • Ability to work collaboratively with their department and other members of the community to regularly review and revise curriculum and teaching practices

SALARY RANGE:

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000. Nightingale considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
